Red Crab Bag at 44knots.com
One of my favorite things to do is find accessories that are not only cute, but also friendly to the environment. The above red crab bag from 44 Knots, which is made from recycled sails, fits the bill.
I think it will be the perfect bag to carry on my just booked vacation to Cape Cod this September.

Melissa shoes available at Karmaloop.com
Givenchy sandals available at Shopstyle.com
Last year I did a trend page for O Magazine on the jelly sandal. While there were plenty to choose from then, I've noticed this year there are even more stylish options.
Here are two of my current favorites, both available online.
Melissa shoes have always done innovative jellies and I love the idea of a jelly wedge. And, Givenchy, as always, is the ultimate in cool with their update on the gladiator.

It's hard to believe that Resort showings are already upon us again. YSL just unveiled their Cruise 2010 collection which reflected the house's late founder in the sensuous shapes and crisp tailoring. There were also strong jewelry pieces that mixed semi-precious stones with pieces such as mother of pearl.
Here are a few images from by Franck Mura from wwd.com.

I've just returned from an opening celebrating Ananas' new outpost in New York's NoLita neighborhood. Designer Jennifer Baum Lagdameo began the line in 2004 and opened the boutique in March of this year.
In addition to her super soft and functional bags and belts, the new location is also carrying amazing scarves, antique jewelry (cultivated from estates in the Philippines), as well as other jewelry lines from designer friends.
One of my favorite bags is the Racquel (pictured above) and I'm in love with every piece in the antique jewelry collection (also above).
Visit www.ananascollection.com for information on where to buy.

Last Thursday I attended the Ippolita Jewelry preview. I've always loved Ippolita's ability to take a simple piece of jewelry (a bangle, a hoop) and turn it into something fresh and exciting. Recently she's moved into silver and rose and what's coming up for fall won't disappoint. The best way to describe her newest lines are tumbled purple and tumbled chocolate. She's included all of the best sellers and favorites in these new colors and also added pieces such as double layered chains.
Above are the clear quartz squiggle hoops, a piece from the current rose collection. You can purchase everything from her site, www.ippolita.com and the new collections should be available in July.

I'm just back from the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby and what an amazing experience! This was my first visit to Churchill Downs and I was fortunate enough to attend both the Kentucky Oaks on Friday and the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
Here are a few of the beautiful (and creative) hats worn at the Derby. I think my favorite is the couple.....
